Helping officers reclaim their sense of safety

North Wales Police asked Senseia to conduct a culture audit as Amanda Blakeman became the force’s new Chief Constable. The findings informed an organisation-wide intervention, helping staff and officers reclaim their energy and sense of safety to deliver a better service, more equitably. Leadership work rebuilt officers’ sense of support and satisfaction, with perceived organisational support up 90 percent against the national average and job satisfaction up 21 percent versus peer forces. Stop and search disproportionality fell by 66 percent, aligning with the national average for the first time in over a decade, while crime-recording compliance rose to 91.2 percent, up 10.9 points.
